goals

Students have basic knowledge of the theory of discrete event systems and the ability to apply different models to examples from different fields of engineering and computer science. The listeners are able to assess the areas of application of discrete-event models.

content

  • Modeling and analysis of systems, whose behavior is described by sequences of discrete states or events;
  • Demonstration of methods using examples from different fields of electrical engineering, information technology and computer science. (Deterministic automaton, Nondeterministic automaton, Markov chains and stochastic automaton, timed automaton and Petri nets)
