Students know the state of the art in CMOS digital circuits including conceptual and system engineers need, as well as VLSI designers to work successfully. In this case, both the theoretical basics of the components, as well as the step from the component via the circuit to the system are mastered.

content

This lecture introduces the main principles for the field of integrated circuits and systems. After an introductory discussion of the fundamentals and applications of microelectronics, the lecture will proceed with a number of details of integrated semiconductor devices. Afterwards integrated digital CMOS basic circuits will be addressed. Finally, the lecture addresses more complex problems in the design of integrated system components and systems.
