Students get a system-oriented and interdisciplinary knowledge of electromobility technologies and master the functional principle and operating behavior of energy conversion systems, storage systems and charging devices. The acquired knowledge enables further studies in the field of electromobility systems in the context of the master's program and in professional practice.

content

As part of efforts to achieve a global reduction in CO2 emissions, electromobility plays an essential role. Based on an overview of the technology and historical development of electromobility, the lecture deals with the functional principle and operating behavior of electric-mechanical drive systems, energy storage devices and charging devices. The grid integration of electromobility and billing models are discussed as basic prerequisites for a broad use of electromobility. In addition, the integration of the subsystems into the overall system of an electric car and their interactions with each other are discussed.
