The participants understand the basic concern of technology management. They know relevant methods and tools and can apply them. Moreover, they may be able to classify the technology management strategically.
The lecture is divided in two parts, lectures and tutorials. The lecture will cover all relevant and necessary basics of technology management, and will introduce methods and instruments on a practical background. Main Chapters are: basics of technology and technology management technology analysis technology review and rating technological environment research technological impact assessment technology and research strategies The tutorials focus on the practical implementation of the lecture contents. Students choose from current practical examples of the application of technology management and investigate this.
Basic knowledge of engineering and management.
Oral presentation. Students will work out in small groups (2 – 4 persons) a short presentation on one interesting technology management topic. The presentation is based on literature and on small own research. The topics are selected by the students themselves, in consultation with the lecturer.
