goals

The seminar style conveys hard and specifically soft skills. The latter includes the coordinated activity in the seminar team as well the individual positioning of the participants. The quality of scientific presentation is practiced by taking example and feedback from instructors and participants, such that presentations are mutually perceived as coherent, conceptual, and interesting. The final documentation eventually declares the complementary styles of scientific report and oral presentation.

content

This seminar deals with methods of signal processing, information technology, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. The links between these specific competencies are described. The methods find application in speech and audio processing, communications, sensor systems, and data fusion.

Each participant will contribute a free-form synopsis of his/her presentation, a professional presentation of a specific topic from the larger theme of the seminar, and a short final documemtation in form of a scientific practice paper. The working style further comprises comprehensive discussion in the seminar team. Literature will be provided as a basis for study.
