Participants can analyze and evaluate technical and scientific literature and develop prolific techniques to generate technical reports and scientific presentations.
In this course all participants are expected to delve into selected topic of security engineering and IT security. The primary task for this seminar encompasses the review of the topic-specific state of the art including corresponding scientific publications. To pass the module, participants need to provide a topic outline, a written report and oral presentation as part of a full-day seminar.
The spectrum of potential seminar topics ranges from design and design methodologies for the development of secure systems, CAD for security, security for design, and the investigation of explots and vulnerabilities in real-world applications.
Introduction to Cryptography Foundations of Network and System Security
All seminar topics of the chair are assigned using the ITS seminar allocation system. Participants also find further information on the use and the selection process at the central website.
The registration period starts at the end of the previous semester. Registration dates will be announced via the RUB mailing list its-announce.
Important: The use of the central seminar allocation system is a prerequisite for the assignment of a topic as well as for the successful participation in the seminar.
