Students should acquire a broad knowledge of the challenges and success secrets of a start-up founder. In groups, they develop results which they are to test in a discussion with founders for their applicability in reality.
Found and run your own business? Use IT security expertise to develop and market a product after graduation? Is that something for me? Students who ask themselves these questions will receive help in answering them in the seminar "IT-Security Startup Know-How". The participants work on topics that deal with corporate management. This theoretical knowledge is filled with life through discussions with founders from the field of IT security. Once the students have acquired a broad knowledge of how to set up a start-up, they will gain insights into the colourful start-up of NRW. Two days (in Feburary) will be field trips.
Topics (among others):
- Market and competition
- Product and Services
- Entrepreneurial personality
- Marketing for Startups
- management team
- legal forms
No previous technical knowledge is required. However, interest in topics related to setting up and running a business is expected.
Registration for the seminar is now possible by sending an e-mail to email@example.com. The number of participants is limited to 30. Places will be allocated after receipt of the e-mail. Applications will be accepted until 30.9.2019.
The examination will take the form of a project paper. This contains on the one hand the elaboration of a topic area as lecture and on the other hand the preparation of the theory and the expert input in form of a written work with the extent of approx. 7-10 sides. The project work will be done as a group work.
